Tiny constant conniptions ripple
Through my family.
Impeachments thrown to and fro.
Who did steal my grapes?
'Twas the creature in the back
From the garbage in my closet
Come alive and hungry.
But even it daren't make travesty on
The Governess' rules,
Scared as the rest of us are.
It stays hidden as a mole
Waits to pounce like a cat
And falls back into sleep like the bear it is.
Who did steal my doorknob?
'Twas a mother taking away
The last of my privacy
(Surely not MY mother)
'Twas a sister showing me
Who's boss.
(That one's mine for sure)
