Description
Here is the first Elven race we were introduced to in the comic, and so they're the first racial image.The Dark Elves, not always the nicest of folk they are neverthless very important to the story, and several of the main characters/re-occurring villains are Dark Elves, so they appear frequently in the comic.
The exemplar of the Dark Elven race here is Sidonia Apacia, a Master Assassin who trained Khali and taught her pretty much everything she knows about killing people, which is nice... well at least she looks nicer than that Ungoii dude, blech

Still leagues better from mör'fol society. That's dark elves of my setting, "fol" being the elven term for "people(s)". They live in a theocratic society where they're ruled solely by their religious organization, the Order of the Bleeding Shadow, which is a select group of necromancers. Those outside this elite clique have to live based on survival of the fittest, where only the smartest and most ruthless survive. The most secured positions outside the order are merchant lords who hoard all their dwindling resources. Their society is in squalor since they waste every 300-400 years increasing their numbers to enact a war of genocide on the surface world, something they've been doing for some 2000 years, ever since their now dead god ordered them.

As I've imagined her character, yup, that is actually a pretty perfect summation of what she'd say to Khali, and likely all her favourite students

heh, seeing the Culture part reminded me of my DnD game partner. Basically, I was an Orc and he was a female dark elf. Normally, she would consider me as nothing more than a slave yet when a giant intelligent (nerd) orc happens to save your sorry ass, it's best to treat him like an equal rather than a slave. Especially when he's got hands big enough to fit your whole head in just one of them and the strength to crush bones like it was a twig.

Especially with an Orc who's both strong and smart (Surprisingly). I mean could you just imagine a giant Orc with a tiny pair of glasses reading books like a total nerd but he's as big as any other of his kin, if not more.

For some reason their sexual appetite has been omitted,
does this mean that it's only in some of the myths and legends of the comic,
that they are extremely lustful and Khali and a few others just happen to fit that stereotype?

Well there was only so much space on the page, and I just naturally assumed everyone would automatically think that already
Seriously though I had to cut out a ton of background for these background images, originally they were each like three times longer, but they looked bad, the art looked too tiny, and after all these are just supposed to be quick intro's, so I had to cut back unfortunately
And there are a lot of cool little bits of info I wanted to add too, like not just their particular sexual appetites (which are many and varied of course) and how that is reflected/caused by their culture, but also odd things like their biology. For instance, Dark Elves can procreate with almost any other sentient race, but will only give birth to Dark Elf children. Not mixed race 'Half Elf' children, but full Dark Elves.
It's the main reason why Dark Elf males are treated so poorly in their society, because the women literally don't actually need them to make more baby Dark Elves

Yeh eventually they're all going to have fully written out backgrounds, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
The Bestiary page on the website is more for slightly more elaborate versions of this image, with say, a few more detailed paragraphs of content aswell as maybe another image showing members of the race in their typical environment. But honestly I could write pages and pages of information on each of these races, and much more besides, but I've no idea where to put it.
Maybe some sort of mini-wiki or something?

Yeh it looks like she's done a great job there, with one central index page leading off to multiple information pages.
Problem is I'm using a Wordpress theme on my site to make it easy to run and upload comics, I'm sure how easy it'll be to do that, i.e. make a page that doesn't show up on the main toolbar.
But I'll give it a go and find out

I had a quick shot yesterday and it seems like it's actually possibly. You can create as many webpages as you like with the wordpress theme, but only the first ten or so show up on the toolbar, so it looks like I should be able to make it work
