very nice, wish mass effect had used this
only thing is, its momentum that is conserved, not velocity... bit of a typo there

Amazing looking piece you've got here, though I'm not sure it's absolutely needed. If this does indeed go with the Mass Effect universe, Mass Relays can already transport multiple objects or large objects at once, as evidenced in the massive battles in Mass Effect 3, where the entirety of every species' fleet comes through the Relay together. Now, as a purely human creation outside any other fictional setting, that's indeed a damn impressive thing to create, and quite beautiful. Nicely done.

Thanks for the comment. It wasn't intended to be part of the Mass Effect universe. However the technology behind it does draw from some Mass Effect lore. I could easily see the confusion, given the title of the piece.

This Gate makes more sense than a Mass Relay...

The description tells what I thought mass effect feilds did to ships in ME until I read the codex and was dissapointed. Nice artwork.

Wow. It's like a cross between a mass relay and a stargate in the best way.

What system is this gate in and it doesn't look like the relay gates I've seen from the game. I'd love to use this in a story I'm writing on fanfiction.net. love it!

Hi I'm just wondering if I could use this image for a little rpg project I'm working. I won't make any money from it and I can't pay you for it but I would really appreciate if I could use it.

it's like a Mass Relay had sex with a supergate!

you heard of the game mass effect? they have basiclly the same thing except A) it wasn't built by humans and B) it looks something like the covenant carbine from halo.

Lol, I would kill to be able to design some Reaper technology.
But yeah, I used the same concept, only with a different architecture, and a different way of how it works.

I'm not sure about the black shadow on the small planet, I wished if it's in sort of gray . Great job though

OD does it again. Apart from the slightly blurry background of the starfield (for depth maybe?), it's really sweet. Nice work.

I was kinda going for a blurry effect with the fractals, they were actually really high quality to start out. And I made the thingy in C4D.
