Fired terra cotta clay
This piece ties in with a couple of themes I have been following.
The first is, "Deeply Rooted", which first showed up here: www.deviantart.com/observer14/… The story behind that one is included in that post.
The second is the broader theme of the Dryads, which I have always loved to create, as the link between the trees and their human forms.

This piece grows out of the current storm of CoVID-19 and the storm which has been swirling around all of us. Our hope is where we have placed our roots, drawing on the Living Water.
