Made in response to the August Direct and other speculation up to said point

So, based on various factors, including hints, little details, etc., these are a group of characters I believe may show up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
This is a speculative list, so there aren't many super-personal picks on here, hence it not being a giant list. I don't believe ALL of these characters will appear, and I will admit some of these characters are more biased choices than others, but even those I tried to keep them plausible. The fact that the final roster was chosen in 2015 makes me skeptical of newer characters' chances, but I don't know how long those games were in development, so I won't cry unconfirmed yet.

After the next smash direct you should
1. Add/keep characters announced in smash direct.
2. Remove dry bowser and tharja.

I mostly approve of this dream roster: I would love Geno, Shantae and Banjo and Kazooie in the game, but I don't know how Excitebiker would work, and Tharja fits better as an echo fighter for Robin. I'd also like to see Rayman in the game, and perhaps echo fighters like Ninten for Ness and Raichu for Pikachu.

I included Excitebiker because, seeing how Ditto was a cut concept from Melee that returned in 5, I thought Excitebiker, also an unrealized idea of Sakurai's from Melee, may have a chance in 5. I don't have a lot of confidence in his chances, but he feels more possible now.
I thought about Tharja being Robin's Echo Fighter as well, but I decided against it because (in my limited knowledge of Fire Emblem) I don't think Tharja wields any swords (which could be dealt with fine with magic attacks replacing the sword, but the Levin Sword makes things complicated) and that she's a Dark Mage and would use Dark Tomes, which I imagine have much different properties than Robin's. She's honestly the one character with the least evidence and most bias involved in me putting her here, as she's one of my favorites. I simply figured Sakurai would add another FE rep because he's clearly fine with adding more so long as people like them.
Rayman could work and so could Ninten, but I feel like Raichu wouldn't work as an Echo Fighter simply because he's bigger than Pikachu; he'd be more of a semi-clone.

Characters like Dr. Mario, Pichu, Roy, Young and Toon Link aren't seen as Echo Fighters because they're significantly different play experiences, whereas Echo Fighters' movesets are changed pretty slightly.
