A character from my 2nd novel.
Lots of different techniques used here to give the grit feel to it... the the detail in the hair got painted on ACTUAL PAPER sepreately on 4 sheets with paint and pencil crayons, then scanned and added in... the orignal sketch is overlayed lightly, WITH intentionally leaving many of the errors from the scanner created during the multples scans made in the process... manipulating some of them for effect...

congratulations... i like your website too. are you self publishing? i self ublished a book called virtues and got my investment back but the profits now are few and far between. i actually copied a few pics from your website a long time ago and i was gonna do some fan art. never got around to it. but i really want to try and draw regan.

Haha, that'd be awesome. Long ago someone did a pic of Alisia, but it was part of an art trade, and she wasn't really all that into it, I think.

hah.. thanks.. I agonized over the right tone.. I usually leave lips somewhat neglected; I do relatively few closeups like this, I'm usually focused on other aspects.
This was the last major pic I released before my kiddo was born, and I devoted my free time to the novel. (in which the girl in this pic is a major character) 'final' draft officially finished last night, and off to my editing helpers!
