took me a while...now im inspired to do something with the clock/sunset 'the end' theme...i love it when i come up with something by myself which is original (=
100% vector.

This is very creative. I am a Graphic Designer by trade, and I can tell you that this is very well laid-out and well balanced. Your focus with light works well too, getting brighter from top down to the white focus of the clock, anchored in a bed of black
Do you perhaps remember the name of the font used in The End, it looks very familiar? I am a typography nut and have over 4,000 of things from over the years.
Of all the creative suite apps, Illustrator is my weakest spot, something I never got comfortable with. It makes me appreciate vector art all the more when I see it.

i use adobe illustrator...
its a vector program, and yes, its a vector brush.

Well...
adobe release theyre softwar in 'suites' nowadays. That includes photoshop and flash etc...
So... it used to be photoshop 7, 8, etc... but then they changed it to photoshop CS which stands for Creative Suite. They release illustrator, photoshop etc all at the same time, in one Creative Suite update.
So far theyve got up to the 3rd and latest edition, CS3.
So really, its just the edition/version of the program =]
I used to have illustrator 7, but now i have illustrator CS3

I love the fonts you chose and what you made out of ODD is simply awesome. I'm not sure if the gray things behind "welcome to" are necessary or if they only make the piece looking rather full and busy, I think that the rings of different shades of grey are cool on their own. Nevertheless, these small hills and the concept are great. Wonderful idea - and so fitting
