I'm not one to post photographs up on this site, but this guy is tres important to me.He is my little miracle baby.
For those of you who don't know I use to have a handful of full grown stick bugs.. until my cat got to them and ate them all last week. I was super upset cause I really wanted to be an insect breeder and they were my start.
But then, just yesterday this lil guy emerged from the bottom of my tanks leaves. There are eggs down under the leaves. Lots of them. So not all hope is lost.

oh, and it looks like your living the dream.
I mean, they had babies in your care, that means you gave them a comfortable enough environment for that.
copy that environment, minus out the cat.

That's an interesting creature. When I was a kid, I wanted a friend to give me some, but my mother didn't accept them, so yeah... too bad. lol

I dun care what ma moma wants. If it's in my room and I'm payin fer them it shouldn't be an issue. Plus I pay her rent so I can have what I want in my room. XD
Stick bugs are nifty lil things. Super friendly, but they get anxious easy too. I'm training this lil guy to be okay with hands and his tails all curled cause he's freaked out by me. XD
But they don't bite at all. c:
They just crawl and eat leaves all day.

I just researched the basics, like the type of habitat they need and food. They really dun need much besides a tank full of dirt and leaves. No special lighting or heating.. though I noticed my bugs tend to love the dark. As soon as my light goes on they stop moving.
I love bugs, I'm going to breed praying mantis soon and I plan on ordering in an African hornet as well. Apparently they are pretty docile.

Wow, praying mentis have a beautiful green color. They make me think of the green grasshopper that I have seen several times in my area: they look pretty big.
I still think the domain of the insects can be quite interesting, and I support you for your collection.

They are pretty, but hard to take care of I think, plus they get moody and attack faces. XD

I had them cat safe, but when I was moving I guess he managed to get into the cage while I wasn't looking. >c
