This is a lovely "au naturale" portrait.

Her look and the coloring of this photo almost remind me of a 70's portrait. Which to me is a beautiful thing.

One thing I love about your photography is you're not afraid of imperfections. For example, this is the second portrait in which flyaway hairs seem to add candid feel. I really love that you captured the slightly awkward moment when the wind threw some hair over her face...not enough to change the feel of the picture entirely, but to alter the mood. It is a beautiful thing that you embrace the awkwardness of moments...
I love it, by the way. And her eyes...they are gorgeous.

This is a beautiful protrait. Your friend's expression makes me think that she is not just gorgeous on the outside, but has a personality to match
It actually makes me think of a moment captured in the 60's for some reason Love it!

A little late in the game but what beautiful image. Ruby is beautiful, glad to see she allowed you to capture that. I do agree those random hairs are a bit distracting...ALTHOUGH, I love the candid nature of the image so it's nice to see this natural beauty fettered with distraction...it works. As for the contrast, yeah...perhaps just a bit more, but it doesn't need much. It's a nice shot overall!

I feel it could do with a touch more contrast to give it bite and the haira across her face are a bit distracting. However, its a lovely capture. Very natural looking.

ruby is just beautiful. i'll get to your work in a second, but i have to go on and on about her for a second... there's something a bit liv tyler about her - it's her lips. not the size of them, but the shape of them, especially her upper lip. she doesn't have a defined cupid's bow in her upper lip. they're bee-stung and pillowy and full and just gorgeous... and her eyes... so dreamy! she is just beautiful, and you've done a great job lighting her and framing her, and capturing her beauty.

Ohh new camera ? Or just a new lens. I think it is a relaxed portrait shot with the dominant brown tones making the image feel really calm. Maybe next time choose a higher f-stop as you can see some blurring on her shoulders, try around f4. If you want a more dynamic shot next time shoot her with the sky as her background this way her hair does not blend into the background so much. The catchlights in her eyes from your flash/reflector bring them out well and prob lessen some of the hard shadows that you might have experienced otherwise considering you were shooting in mid afternoon ! It kind of hard to tell if Ruby was in the shade but i doubt it because the background would have been lighter. So i would have to say excellent job. I have some bits and pieces about protrait photos in this exact situation so i will dig them up and see if i can find a link to them for you.
