Description
I was climbing down a small ditch to a river. Picking up my brother and his friend as they were fishing. (last summer) Came across this little guy. Thought it was kinda cool. The top left is way out of focus. Im not that happy with this piece. But Im just dying to submit things. Hahaha.Related content

This is actually really nice. I like it, decent colour contrast.

The selective desaturation is fine. But again, you have the flower dead center. Cropping (especially if you don't like the out of focus upper left) will improve composition. Use the Rule of Thirds in your work. You can break that rule when you want to, but most of the time it just works better to adhere to it.

I was very unhappy with this piece when I put it on my computer. I almost didnt submit it. I also had to crop a lot on behalf of the unfocused areas on the both sides. Doing any more work to it and I dont think I'll have the desire to keep it as a submission hahaha!~

Sometimes you just plain get tired of a piece!

Cool idea, but i think selective desaturation is kind of overdone. It could have been just as powerful if it were completely b&w or left as colour, i think.

this is beautiful morro! i must admit that i feel that it my eyes would wander around the whole picture more if the flower wasnt in the center... but I like it. I remember this one and I like the contrast of colour/black and white you've added.
Those flowers are amazing ( dandylion? we call them hestehov... )... they pop up everywhere.. trough concrete and all... toff little bastards..

wow, I dig the shot.
great color density on the flower, you did a nice job re/de colorizing it... I assume you did that in PS...?
but yeah, like said before: I like the out of focus part...

I kind of like the out of focus edges. It really keeps our attention on the centre of the image. It's a great shot! The strength of the yellow is great and I love the texture in the branches. Awesome!
