Thanks to a breakthrough in multiphasic cybernetics, the M-9 Unit processes functions at the quantum level! As such, it is capable of performing operations necessary for stable wormhole travel, even as far as other galaxies. NCC-1701-J Enterprise has been outfitted with the first of these systems to do an initial recon of the Andromeda Galaxy.
