Description Experimenting with how I want to draw the comic I intend to eventually start. I actually started this a while ago, then shit happened and I never got around to finishing it. It's actually only half the page, but I didn't feel like finishing the whole thing, the last panel here was fine for a cut-off point so I finished that one and cropped it.

I mostly like how it looks but it took way too long and I honestly don't remember how I went about most of the shading (what brushes I used etc.) which is not practical for if there were to be a page 2 or even something like in the case with this one, where I stopped for a while, I just kind of had to wing it with that last panel and copy-paste the background.

Anyway, Vilkas and Handwing . I think this actually serves as pretty explanatory of they're relationship. Handwing is a jerk. Vilkas is neurotic. Vilkas grew up around Handwing when he lived with Beijeye . As much as he denies it, Handwing has gotten attached to Vilkas as like a little brother. After Beijeye died they were left with just each other. Vilkas was just a kid at the time and didn't have much choice but to stick with Handwing, even though Handwing basically just leeches off Vilkas because he's so dysfunctional.

Nice job! Someone is such a negative nancy in this comic. :3

Fun fact about the subconcous: the subconcous does not know what will happen in the future so it stresses the person out. Also the reason ppl get scared of change sometimes is bc the subconcous, since it hold all those memories for reacting, it does not know how to give you info for handling those situations. I myself sometimes is a victim to that.
Further more, besides the subconcous, the human brain works really hard to make everything make sense to the person. And with things that make no sense your brain will try to make as much sense of the world. But in reality the human brain knows so little on how the world works. This is why the human brain is over confident.
Take this for example:
"New York in the the spring"
Did you catch it yet? Now read more closely.

This time get rid of "the" in it.

That is why opticle illusions exist, bc your brain is trying to make sense of what is NOT there.
----
Anyways, I like the lighting and everything. You did a really good job. :3
Those ocs are really interesting how they react to each other.

Thank you! :3

Yeah, he is. I have a complicated view of him. I enjoy writing dislike-able characters and have a terribly dry sense of humor. He's awful and I love it. XD

Interesting. I totally didn't catch the second "the" even after reading it twice.

X3 I still find any of your characters interesting even if they are unstable/ different.
No one is the same. You can tell me anything about any of your ocs, I will listen.

I think you are into something with the sketchy textures of the buildings.

Thanks! The buildings were actually one of the main things I was trying to experiment with and practice drawing with this.
