Mature filter is on for this being a bit more gory than usual. There's a cut open body.Did this as part of another one of those "draw this again" things. I'll post the comparison in a little bit.
Part of Twilight and Requiyen's whole thing is the over-lap they manage to work out between Requiyen's "hobbies" and Twilight's "professions". Though, as apposed the the over-lap with Fluffy's career which serves to keep Requiyen out of trouble and prevent him form breaking her moral code, theirs thrives off both of theirs complete lack of morals.

Honestly, I really only started actively including backgrounds in everything about a year or so ago. I used to hate and dread drawing them, too. Just forcing myself to do it really was the main thing helped me.

Right this is a bit of a random question buuut, I personally like this pair even though it is quite gory. My question is, when does a criminal over step the mark for you? (I'm a writer and one of my protags is a murderer, I get myself into this places and...)

I'm probably way over thinking that question, but I think it really varies.
In real life, I think my moral line falls pretty leniently from the law (there's a lot of things that are illegal that I really don't see the point of making illegal), but would generally be considered it crossed at murder. But even then, there's a lot of circumstances where I'd really consider it debatably justifiable. Things such as self-defense (in a broader sense than the law considers), revenge, vigilantism, etc. Violence is a natural part of pretty much any species, I do believe that we try too hard to just pretend that humans are different. Which I guess kind of pertains to the context of how I've set up my characters' world, the contrast between human and animal social structure, and the hypothetical idea of humans that are accepting of their animal nature. Then throw in the fact that, for one thing, I know my characters and what goes through their heads, that not all of them who have killed are cold-blooded killers. Twilight is not inherently bad, she's just the product of a rough life that she barely even realizes was not normal. As a means of survival, she gets into sketchy stuff and sometimes that means 'kill or be killed' and she's conniving enough to reap the benefits from it; but she wouldn't just go a kill just for the hell of it. Requiyen is a lot more questionable, while he isn't exactly an antagonist in their story, but he is far from "good". He would kill a random person for the sake that he can and loves dissecting bodies. He isn't a complete sociopath, but pretty close; he's definitely not right in the head and it takes a lot to make him actually tap into any bit of a conscience in regards to others.
