Assignment 2 - River Crossing
Shallow Water

Despite Romeo having his family around, Simon still felt responsible for the boy and stayed around. They were riding for the same stable after all. Well... maybe Simon was more concerned about Romeo's mare than about Romeo himself. He was able to cope with all of this just fine. Ēostre seemed to handle the climate really well, too. And as much as he disliked Romeo, he had to give him credit for handling the Drakehest mare. He had improved his riding in general. At least he thought that until they were about to cross the river.
"Ooooh, can we go through the deep water?" Romeo asked and sounded way too excited.
"That is not a good idea", Simon replied.
Romeo rolled his eyes. "You're so boring. It will be fun!"
"You'll sure have fun drying off your horse afterwards." Riley's comment made Romeo overthink his plan.
His bay mare still stood there relaxedly while her rider eyed the river once again. Nah, it probably wasn't that much fun after all. The shallow water would be sufficient. Yes. Still, he glanced at his father and Simon. Ts, those two were no fun at all.
