To be free in the truest sense, we must not have a definition of freedom to consider.
OneST8
Freedom in the truest sense has no boundaries nor can it be accurately defined.
True freedom is the perfect abstract thought to which no further abstraction can be made for it itself is free of all rules and interpretations.
No human being can be truly free and the only useful freedom is freedom with self moderation.
Freedom with imposed moderation is a form of prison, freedom with self moderation is like a wide open field where you simply stand still in the middle.
Interpreted freedom is the freedom defined by your own self moderation.
If you are contemplating suicide then you are seeking to escape your (perceived) imposed freedom. If you choose not to commit suicide then you are seeking to have your (perceived) freedom redefined with the self moderation you just exercised. The interesting part is that at any point in life you can redefine your perceptions and in so doing you redefine your perceived boundaries.
You are the only one who can interpret your own life as only you know all of your own truths and history. No matter how much you ignore or suppress your truths and history, you know everything there is to know about yourself.
Thusly, life is the ultimate definition of interpreted freedom.
You have control.

The interesting thing here is, although I can't disgree in any way to a single part of your assessment (add to maybe, but definitely not disagree)...
...didn't you, in fact, just slap about a hundred and fifty-five million definitions to Freedom?

Excellent... the energy of the universe is tied to itself and like minds tend to flow on the same wavelength. Or at least that's what I've found...

Heyyyy, good idea!! We should encourage everyone who responds to do the same thing. Like a universal excercise...

Sounds like a plan!
Perhaps we should do cross linking instead of actual duplication.
hmmm would that be best fit as separate deviations for each then?

yknow, Im not really sure...
We might get better responses if we just duplicate it---yknow, have to appeal to the commercial mind. Most people wont click on a link---they'd rather seeit right in front of their face, lol. But either way really is all good by me

From the "DeviantART" admin perspective I'd think they'd appreciate the non-duplication scenario... (saves space on the db)
but...
I agree with you 100% in that the duplicated way provides far more coverage and developes the community around it better due to the increased exposure and catering to the lazy people along with the genuinely interested.
Perhaps a comprimise between the two... we'd need to come up with a predefined format for submitting and another for commenting. The commenting one could be an excerpt and the _entire_ excerpt is made into a link to the full submission on the submitter's page. And of course the submitter's page would have to quote the origional random line with appropriate interlinking back to the origional deviant and thread.
Or maybe a variation... any which way we do it I am more than happy to comply.
Regardless, this will be a very interesting social experiment.
