It explains that deviantART has recently decided to ban users from submitting audio files. They are also asking users to delete any existing audio files from their gallery.
I was pretty upset when I heard about this since I listen to music on deviantART a lot and watch a few composers.
deviantART, however, is not blocking users from submitting Flash files so I decided to make this utility with my friend Stephen. It takes mp3 files and attaches them to a Flash audio player I made. You can then submit this SWF file to deviantART bypassing their audio file restrictions.

Oh yeah wanted to mention that my server has a limit of 8 MB per file. If anyone needs that to be raised just comment or note me and I'll raise it.

I really, really wish this still worked. Our group has been getting a lot of dummy/redirect submissions and we have no way to help them convert their music to a more appropriate format...

Hey I have a new version working but am trying to save up money for some licensing and legal fees (about $500) to make sure that users that use my application are protected (as well as myself). I thought it would be a lot sooner that I could release this but it turns out there's a lot of legal issues and fees you have to deal with when working with music conversion/hosting on this scale.
It shouldn't be too much longer until I can afford this sorry!

Well, I was just wishing as opposed to demanding. You're trying to provide a free service for the community at large, since a lot of people don't know how to convert a music file to a video or Flash file. Given that, it really does suck that you have to pay for the privilege to use some of the content out of your own pocket... What exactly are you paying for, anyway? The use of the MP3, WAV, and OGG codecs?

but i've found a way to post songs here that is quite simple, someone just told me but i can't remeber what user told me.
still that way doesn't allow people to stop the song and continue hearing that when they want. it plays and plays till the end and stop at the end. to hear again its needed to refresh the page.

My cousin wanted to join dA when he heard it was an art sharing site, but then was disappointed when he found out he couldn't submit songs he composed. I can't understand why dA wouldn't set something up for them...

I converted all my music I made into .waves but I can't get them to convert them into mp3 files

Just found a bug: If there's " ' " in the title, it won't come out right, filling only about 350 bytes or so, no matter the size. I had to change the title on my song by removing that ' before it worked properly.
