It was probably nothing, Conan. Go back to eating your poison.Sorry for the Japanese Romaniji. I'm showing these comics to my middle school kids so the Japanese insert is to help them out. Also because I'm used to watching the subs and hearing them speaking Japanese.
Daijoubu? (or more properly Daijoubu desu ka?) means "Are you okay/alright?"
And the response Daijoubu, means "Yes. I'm okay/fine."

Yes. You can use "daijoubu" with a tone inflection to ask "are you okay?" or sometimes more formalized "daijoubu desu ka?" And you can also respond with the affirmative of "daijoubu" or "daijoubu desu."
Usually when I ask my students if they are alright they usually respond with either "daijoubu" or "henki henki" (平気 meaning I'm cool) or "genki desu" (I'm healthy). I think "henki henki" is less formal though. I have heard it a few times on animes as well.
This is probably the extent of my Japanese knowledge though. I use these phrases with my students during my daily life in Japanese Junior High school. But I could always be wrong because I haven't actually taken any classes. It's all been self study and observation.

lol. because it was in the spoilers that my friend read, that he was supposed to be. it made me laugh though because it really doesn't make sense with the rest of the world lore, but i wanted to play the idea out for fun.
he is almost certainly not the villain in the actual series. there are just too many "but why would he do that then?!" if he was. it's fun to make this fan theory come to life though.
