I prefer to draw female sheik/undercover zelda > 7 <
but ya know, a bishie never hurts once in a while ;D
every time I try to relax by doodling, I end up putting too much effort into one of the doodles and then paint it and then put all the bells and whistles on it *o *
and then I kick myself for leaving mistakes all over the place -- but can't be bothered to fix it cause it was supposed to be for fun and 'quick' XD
I gave sheik some dark wrappings rather than the usual white bandages cause it looks more cool to me this way LOL

Yes, it does in Sheik's case, when you could have been more creative to make an actual bishie to fill your empty bishie void, instead of turning Zelda's efforts and development as the woman that she is into the complete opposite.

OK, maybe it came off with the wrong implication, but if you actually support Sheik as female, then what's the fun of turning a representation of Zelda's Girl Power potential as something more than just a damsel in distress into the complete opposite, just for a pretty face? Is it because of the pretty face? What kind of support is this? Why not be creative instead and go for an actual pretty boy instead? And 99.9%? That's pretty exaggerated, you know.

I drew Sheik with the typical bishounen face that I draw, and somehow this has completely ruined her girl power. How?
Does my one drawing of Sheik change society's view on women? Nah, my work hardly has that scope of attention. Does my art tell people that male!Sheik is better or more valid than female!sheik? Do I, in the description do that?
You completely ignore all the other arts I've done of her as a woman. The number 99.9% is not exaggerated, I assure you.
All my other arts of Sheik are of her as a woman. This is the one exception.Β
So somehow because of this one picture, I OBVIOUSLY don't support sheik as a woman, huh?
Before Nintendo confirmed that Sheik was in fact a woman, fans were divided on female!Sheik and male!Sheik. I've always been part of the female!Sheik side and showed it in my fanarts of her, and the ONE time I draw male!Sheik for my fellow fans who supported this side, I get my head chewed off by you.
Please explain what you mean when you say I should "be creative"?

Go for an actual pretty boy instead? I've drawn plenty of pretty boys already. How many times have I drawn Link?

I don't mind genderswaps, but there are some that are really not meant to exist, because they take away what makes a character so special, and in this case, turning boyish looking women into actual boys, which not only happens to Sheik, despite being Zelda, but also to Leo from Tekken, and by experience, I can tell you that it's not pretty. And then there's the case of Female Link (you don't want to know about that one). And you haven't answered my question about what you find so fun about turning a fake male identity into an actual boy, when there are other actual boys to go for, like Link like you mentioned.
And honestly, I used to admire your gallery for some time, but I began to question it when I saw your first Male Sheik pic (as I asked before, what's so fun about that, given what it means for Zelda?), but after seeing that you are continuing with another Male Sheik (so no, it's not the only one), I finally decided that it not worth it to follow your art anymore. And even if it's not your intention to diss Zelda's efforts as the woman that she is, what matters is that it still gives support to the wrong thing (once again, I can tell you by experience that it's not pretty), despite Nintendo's word, even if it's unintentional. So, as a true Female Sheik supporter, I guess this means a good bye to following your artwork, and farewell, as well. Sorry.

If I want to draw fanart for a friend, I will do so because I enjoy seeing their reaction. THIS is the reason why it's fun for me.
I enjoy drawing sheik as a woman more though, hence why all the other pictures of her show female sheik. When I draw sheik for myself, she is a woman every time.Β

If I was asked to make a drawing of Sheik as a male, I would simply say no, because, you see, I have a much stronger stance on the matter than you would ever imagine, and I would never enjoy doing something like that just for them. And you may have not noticed, but I used to fave some of your artwork in the past, and even made some comments; but as you can see, some things must come to an end. So once again, farewell, I guess.
