Nothing like live beautiful, soothing acoustic music... Your never to old to learn how to play, and someday I know I will sit down and get to it. Thankyou for your lovely comments

beautiful guitar. I play flamenco and I love the sound of the nylon strings. its just so open. I really wish I was a better carpenter though. It'd be nice to be able to make my own guitars. later dude!

A sad picture, but beautiful nonetheless. Black and white does it to me every time . . .

I dont have it on this computer but I know pretty well..
Briefly..
Once you have the file in photoshop use the square tool on the toolbar..should be the first icon..
Stretch it over your photo..
Hit ctrl and c at the same time..
Go to file, new, pick the color you want..
Once you got that..then you hit ctrl c and it will cover the new file u just opened..go to edit, free transform and scale..and size it into that new file..
It sounds alot more difficult then it really is..
If you have any questions just ask

Poor guitar...somebody needs to pick it up and play. Your Grandfather was/is pretty clever did/does he play?

Yes, its sad how my brother never learned how to play this.. I brought this guitar back to him when I was 15 after I spent a week seeing the rest of my family for the first time..
He made this guitar for him when he was a baby. My grandfather played for me while I was there.. I dont know if hes still playing, I always forget to ask..
Heres a picture shot at least 25 years ago with the same guitar..Hope this answers all your questions

Great photo - thanks for sharing it
Yes, he can definitely play (he at least knows the chord of C). Maybe you should rescue the guitar from your brother and learn to play it yourself...assuming you don't already.
I might be submitting a pic of my guitar soon...got a few ideas but not yet sure if I can pull them off.

Well actually there is a sister guitar in Cuba thats waiting for me..I just wasnt able to bring two..Always wanted to learn how to play..Had an ex who was teaching me, but that went out the window..My brother doesnt let me even get close to this thing..
I had put the guitar in the corner of the window and it was silhoutted by the light behind it..But it was too dark and the windows not very photogenic..
When you get them up..I def want to see what you come up with

At least you've got a really good excuse to pop back over to Cuba (and take lots of great pics while you're there).
I've got two guitars, one acoustic and one electric, so I hope to take photos of both. The only thing I'm struggling with is what to use/have in the background...I don't want it to look too contrived. I'll come up with something eventually.
The silhouette idea you tried sounds really good, you could have got around the problem of it being too dark by adding an extra light source in front of it (maybe just a lamp - muted with a cloth if too bright). The window backlight could then produce a nice halo effect around the guitar's edges.

WOW! I totally couldnt have thought that up by myself..
Though from now on, I will try playing with the light sources a bit more ..
Yeah there was a halo around it..but all in all it was the frame in the window I know I couldnt have gone without editing in Ps..
Thx for your tips

You're very welcome. I'm still really learning myself, in fact I guess we'll all never stop learning. Experimentation is the key to new ideas and techniques, which is much easier to do with digital cameras as you can erase any bad results instantly and start again.
