Description
This is a project that I have worked on together with TeiOuja for a while now.

It is the Surging Strike Rangers, from his Power Rangers fanfic "Power Rangers Fractured". The story takes place after Zordon sacrificed himself at the end of "Power Rangers In Space", in an alternate universe, where Power Rangers have never been heard of before, and people struggle to survive. The energy wave from Zordon's sacrifice reaches this alternate universe, and creates Ranger powers for multiple teams, who then not only battle monsters, but also each other, for control of the full collection of Ranger powers.

These Rangers are the first team we started to work on, the Surging Strike Rangers, which all have powers based on different kinds of sharks.

TeiOuja lay out the basics for the team's Ranger powers, and then it was up to me to come up with the design for the suits. When I started to think about this, I started to think "Well… Sharks are fishes, and fishes swim… So, why not have this team's Ranger suits look like swimwear for swimming athletes?", and so, that's what you have here. The males' suits are based full body male swimsuits, while the girls' suits are based on female two-piece swimsuits. "Not bikinis."

TeiOuja wanted the suit colors to be different shades of blue, to make them stand out from regular Power Rangers. We then agreed that the Great White Shark Ranger would have his own colors, to make him stand our more, as team leader.

I came up with the idea for them to have this fin-like blades on their gloves, which they could use as a blade weapon in battle.

I also decided to give the mouth plates on the helmets carvings that resembled shark teeth, to make them look more menacing and personal. I also put gill like details on the sides of the helmets, close to where the helmet stops, and the neck starts. Originally, I intended for the Great White Shark Ranger to have this red, practically blood colored, visor, to make him look more special, as the team leader, while the rest of the team would have regular black visors. But then, I came up with the idea of having all the Rangers' visored colored in the same colors the suits would have, if they wear colored like regular Power Rangers.

And, as you can see, each Ranger has a picture of their own shark on their chest.
