Description This is the Centerpiece of the centerpiece I did for my 2008 A Level Coursework for Art and Design.

It was an artwork reflecting on my own life as well as the ongoing events of my home country and especially the atrocious 2008 Elections. It basically was depicting a happy memory of my home country being corrupted and 'tainted' by the ongoing problems that my country faces.

The center bit is rather nice, bravo.

I follow United States politics, but not much of other countrys'.

In the USA, we have a large problem with rich folk using religion to justify doing evil acts (like not assisting the poor, not educating (let alone factually) the masses, not supporting workers, openly lying, ect) and with religious fundamentalist hurting people.
It comes down to petroleum, greed, and misinformation disseminated to fuel to former two.

What events have transpired in your land?

Hey man, remind me to get back to you on that. It's a long exhausting story that shockingly spans since the days of the country as Rhodesia and even currently, 33 years since Zimbabwe's renaming and independence.

I have done shallow research on Rhodesia throught Zimbabwe's history.

So, the current problem stems from the narrow 2008 re-election of Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Morgan Tsvangirai withdrawing from the race, and the power-sharing deal?

Is that the case?

Yeah, that is basically the main case, a great deal that is not often talked about happened during those elections. That is what ultimately drove Tsvangirai to withdraw from the race. What SADC came up with to resolve the problem was a poor solution that in essence only benefited President Robert Mugabe who has now retained full leadership by the way. But as I said, I will get back to you on all that in due time. XD
