crush and enfold me.

i swing from your elbows and peer

silent into the thick throng of twinges,

thick like gnats. carry me:

i am not carried.

throw the rags of my body to them,

watch as the rags of my body are torn.

sick and full am i, are they,

while you stand full and sturdy against us.

the sculpture of you looks but cannot see,

sees only with its hands and the outer

edges of its body.

carry me: i am not carried.

sounds, torn from them without effort,

flung towards the outer edges. tearing

from me, tearing in the center of me,

down the spine. i am cored. carry me.
