Description
In my Dark Heresy campaign, one player successfully crossed the gap to Ascension, the assassin Vex completed his training (nothing less than terminating the legendary heretic Azhek Ahriman) and was recruited into a death cult (to be a Death Cult Assassin) called "The Emperor's Left Hand".

From the cult he received a frigate called "Imperius Lex", a pitch black starship from Vostroya, full of Vostroyan fanatics and hot blonde girls (and vodka!).

The Imperius Lex was an old Black Ship used to transport psykers to Terra. In a trip to Vostroya it was boarded by renegades and became adrift until the Left Hand cult found it and refit the hull to work as a frigate. In 4.000 years, the "Lex" operated under several commanders, shipmasters and assassins, being refitted almost a dozen times. The crew of about half-million humans (plus servitors and techpriests) developed almost an independent culture inside the ship, with an running economy, religious skirmishes (fanatic techpriests vs. fundamentalist imperial clerics), castes, clothing and tattooing.
