"Suzan Hinako and Dane," Scarlet said, stepping toward Calamity. "They don't belong to you, they don't even belong in this universe. You kidnapped them, and in doing so you managed to piss off some friends of mine."

"Oh, I see," Calamity said, "Who are these, prisoners to you."

"Anyone who is a friend of my friends is a friend of me," Scarlet said with the hint of a growl. "Anyone who's a friend of me I consider family. If you threaten or bring harm to anyone of my family you better be ready to go to war."

"Aw, how sweet," Calamity said. "I haven't made you angry now have I, Scarlet."

"Oh, I'm not angry," Scarlet said, "You'll know when I'm angry. I came here give you a chance. Release the prisoners to me now, and I will forget any of this happened."

Calamity's expression changed as she unfolded her arms.

"You must be very brave coming in here and making such a demand from me," Calamity said. "Particularly coming here alone." As soon as Calamity said the words, a hand grabbed her arm and a knife was at her throat.

"Don't give Scarlet so much credit," Salina said, "Scarlet's good but she's not that good, and certainly not dumb enough to walk into a demons lair alone."

"W-What," Calamity said in alarm. "How did you?"

"You really should study your surroundings more," Salina said. "If you took a second look, you would probably of noticed that the guard outside wasn't really a guard."
