Back in the dark alley, the blood from the bodies had all but pooled together as a dark figure walked down the alley. His foot stepped in the pool of blood, but mysteriously left no ripples.

"Disgusting," the man said as he looked over the scene. "Salina's work always did leave a fowl taste in my mouth. The least the child could do is clean up after herself."

"There's no question that Salina survived," said another voice as a woman crouched on one of the stairrails over looking the scene. "Looks like Salina was attempting to form a blood portal. What do you think, Drain?"

"No," Drain said. "This is no blood ritual, Salina was hungry. She never could control her desires."

"Sounds kinky," the woman said, she then sprung off her perch in a forward backflip, landing in the puddle, once again causing not ripples or splash. "Where do you think our horny little reaper is now?"
