Scarlet and Jena rushed around a corner and found the exit just ahead. They rushed to the exit, but the door was locked."Crap," Scarlet swore under her breath. She then drove her foot into the door, wrenching it off its hinges and sending it crashing to the ground.
"Let's go...," Scarlet's statement was caught off by a gunshot and pain bit into her shoulder.
"Scarlet!" Jena shrieked as Scarlet cried out in pain.
"Come on," Scarlet growled through the pain as she clutched her shoulder and forced the teen through the door.
"Are you alright?" Jena exclaimed as she ran with Scarlet.
"It's nothing," Scarlet said. "I've been shot before, remember?"
"You're hit?" James' voice sounded in Scarlet's ear.
"I'm fine!" Scarlet replied. "Just find us an escape to cover."
"Yeah, there's a wearhouse just ahead," James replied, anxiety still in his voice. "Are you sure you're alright?"
Scarlet spied the wearhouse and quickened her pace.
"It hurts like hell to be honest," Scarlet replied through gritted teeth.
