With a mighty heave, Scarlet lifted the taller woman off the ground. She spun around and thrust forward, blood splattering onto her face. Blood burst from Amber's mouth as she stared in utter shock at the iron pipe protruding from her chest. Her legs were limp and useless because the pipe had severed her spinal cord. The saber fell from Amber's numb fingers to the ground.

"That...was...impressive," Amber wheezed, coughing with each word. Blood had entered her lungs. Scarlet reached down and picked up Amber's sword.

"I will end the pain," Scarlet rasped.
