"It's nothing. I'm immortal," Amber said. She dugged her fingers into her wound and pulled the bullet out. Suddenly, Lady Necro was standing in front of her. She reached out and touched her hand to Amber's chest, causing her to drop to her knees as her strength seemed to be drained from her body.

"You may be immortal," Lady Necro hissed. "But do not think that you are invincible. That is the downfall of all immortals."

"Yes, Lady Necro," Amber said, struggling for breath. Her heart had slowed to a shallow beat, and it was hard to breathe.

"Don't you forget it," Lady Necro said, releasing Amber, who gasped for air.
