Scarlet turned around to face Mr. Solan again.

"She will be fine," he said forcefully. "Now, go home."

"You can't expect me to turn around and walk home when my friend is hurt," Scarlet said.

"As her father, I expect you to do as I say," Mr. Solan reprimanded coolly. Scarlet narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth in a snarl. A car pulled up beside the apartment. Christian stepped out of it.

"Scarlet!" Christian called and rushed over to Scarlet. Mr. Solan narrowed his eyes as Christian approached.

"And the shepard comes for his sheep," Mr. Solan said under his breath.

"What's happening?" Christian asked, observing the emergancy vehichles.
