Description
Finished commission for ~AtharodA bionic human- something really unusual for me to draw- so I hope it looks more or less ok
Used references: The "Vitruvian Man" of Leonardo da Vinci and a picture of a spine.

Well.. I don't know it exactly (it was a commission) I guess it should show that also the spine is mechanical

Very very cool, I can see some clues of Metropolis, H.R. Giger, the NS-5 from I, Robot and an alien face...or maybe this is all from my mind haha. But overall the result is pretty good, I particularly enjoyed the spine and his face!
You're expanding your horizons, which is a nice thing!
Congrats once again

Thank you so much!
Hehe, I might be a little bit influenced by these movies I watched Ghost in the Shell 2 right during drawing this, which might have given me also some input.
I'm glad you like its face- the human face is probably the most difficult to draw. It would be much more easy without the nose
I have to agree: Drawing new things is definitaly a good thing
Thanks again!

Thanks!
Well.. I had to rely much on my references here (mostly because I'm not that good with human anatomy), but the electronics and other details are all painted. I used the references mostly for getting the outline correct, but I draw everything on my own.

Oh wow! That's really impressive Using the refs, you come off quite professional. Perhaps the face is odd, that's about all. Good colors, lights and darks : )

Heh, thank you!
Actually, I'm still fighting against my bad feeling when I use references.. it still feels a little bit like cheating- but well, this way you actually see how the anatomie works and probably make less mistakes in the picture because of that. But when I heard that even professional artist (particularly them) use references, I thought it would not hurt starting to use them as well- especially for things which are rather difficult to draw (like humans)
I'm glad you think it looks great- thanks!

Yep! I know that feeling, but sometimes it's even like learning to draw from nature. I guess it takes time to get used to, but it's not like you're going to use it all the time, just for tough important parts.
Yeah! It's kind of cool that you're doing different stuff, I see a change.

Yeah.. Well, I think it's also important to learn from nature while drawing, especially if you go for a realistic style (like I do), otherwise it would be really difficult to draw everything correct
That's great!
