Description A very, very spiny plant. The delicious fruit is picked at your own peril and the plant is then fertilized by your dripping blood.
Everything made in new super cool Blender 2.8 and rendered in cycles.
Criticism and suggestions welcome.

This is really cool! I've been playing around with Blender for about a year now and am really enjoying it.

Have not downloaded 2.8 yet though... from what I've seen there's some pretty awesome stuff!

I really like the detail in the plant, the color and texture of the fruit and the really solid DoF. You did a great job of making it look small.
Also the pollen or dust coming off at the top is a nice touch.

My only criticism (and it's minor) is that the specular highlights on the closest rock make it look like its wet. Maybe it's supposed to be?
Anyway... it's the only part of the image that looks a little off to me.

Great work!

Thanks, and thatks for commenting. Blender 2.8 is really cool in many ways. There are still bugs and some things are still difficult to find. I download new versions every couple of days now and I guess a stable version is due any day now.

The rock is supposed to be wet, there are little pools of water on the ground but it didn't show very well so it looks a bit illogical with a wet rock.

This is really awesome with all the spiki hairy stugg and the lots of chaotic windings. I wouldn't try it though, its probably poison

Thanks, and thanks for commenting. I feel really lazy that I have a backlog of the last 60 or so of your last posts but I promise I'll get around to it soon.

Your welcome and don't worry, I'm kind of spammy with my comic updates

I have actually read them all now. I like the more artistic pages of the level 1 environment. Some more dramatic graphic design of the pages would spice it up quite a lot.

Can you specify what you mean with more dramatic graphic design? You mean the background of the panels or the panels themselves. I'm happy to try some changes to become better.

I think page 20 is at a much higher level than many others. You play with different focus and split the images. It makes more use of the visuals. Quite a lot of the story is mostly driven by dialog, here you drive it along visually.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I understand what you mean. I try to do more in that way but its not always easy, and I often still tend to think in too complex images to make useful splits, well its a learning experience
