But seriously, those who are severely obsessed with the games and IDW comics act like they have a say what's canon or not just because it's not 100% like the games are soulless assholes who hate fun more than movie critics! Atleast one of Sonic's co-creators actually enjoy somethin not related to the games or comics, unlike his other deadbeat father Yuji Naka. I wasn't introduced to Sonic The Hedgehog through the games anyways, I was introduced to him from watchin Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog on Toon Disney.

Everyone has their own introduction to somethin they love, whether it's from a movie adaptation or TV show based on that product. I was introduced to Spiderman through the original movie. Same thing with Ninja Turtles, not everyone was introduced through the original Mirage Studios comics.

And if any of y'all got a problem with it and can't get it through your thick heads, then you don't deserve to call yourself a fan. Because nothing outside Sonic's original source material don't owe you a damn thing! Except still use material from the original in that different iteration. That's all I have to say
