OutsideFate’s Parameter Pack Vol. 2

Hi guys!! Merry Christmas! 24 Fractal Parameters for the 24th of December!!

So, I decided to release another parameter pack, and I think that I went all out on this one. I’ll admit that there are certain pieces that I would have loved to include, but couldn’t for several reasons. Some pieces were made with intentional precision errors, which are prone to crashing UF, some were made with non-public formulas that I don’t feel comfortable sharing, some are straight up render engine abuse and a few are cool pieces, but are complete one-trick ponies that can’t really be reworked into something else.

I have included both the raw .URP file that has everything neatly packed, which should be easy to directly import into UF, and I have made individual singlets that you can copypaste directly into the work window, so you decide how you want to go around with it.

I have also supplied you with my Standard.UFM folder, as there is an obsolete version of ducky in it (I believe it was a direct port from FractalExplorer that someone I’ve sadly lost the name of posted back around 2010-ish) that may or may not be needed, but I’m fairly sure a few fractals I’ve gathered have a few ducky texture layers (while not essential, I’ll rather err on the side of caution) that might not render correctly without it.

The TOS and licence I am going to publish this set of parameters under is going to be an absolute mess. I reserve to keep the full rights to the original fractal art pieces, as I’ve worked hard for them (Don’t re-render them straight out of the pack to sell them / just do a palette swap, you need to do significant work to differentiate your piece from the original. If I find out that someone re-rendered my pieces and put them on a wallpaper website or sell them as NFT’s, I will hunt you down and boil your teeth). However, if you make a piece that significantly deviates from my own, you’re free to put it up wherever you want! They’re in every way free to use for educational purposes, and I do not require payment or a cut of any print/merch/digital sales that come from the tweaked fractals you make out of them, if the tweaks are significant enough to count as an original piece.

If you can, I would really love a credit if you use these parameters. It serves two purposes:

1: I get to see the stuff people make out of my fractals
2: Other people get to stumble into the pack, making it more popular and widely used

I would personally love to see what other people have made out of my pack, so if you can, please put a link to the pack and my username OutsideFate somewhere in the description. In case you’re feeling super adventurous, you’re more than welcome to shoot me a link in the comment section of this pack!!

These are put out in the public sphere as a learning tool, and you are free to do whatever you want with them, as long as it doesn’t compromise the spirit of the law. You’re free to share this pack around, but please do it by linking to the original upload on deviantART, as that’s a source I can control the integrity of.

And finally, I would like to mention The UltraFractal Forums and UltraFractal Mailing list! While I’ve never contributed to either before, you’re free to share this pack around, as long as it’s shared as a link to the original deviantART upload! Hopefully, you’ll have just as much fun with them as the peeps on deviantART!!

REMEMBER: My pieces are all over the place, and to get the fullest out of these parameters, remember to check both the Inside, Outside and Mapping layers.
