One thing that you have to know for sure on the identification of any Harley-Davidson is-- is it "100% production stock"?

Little add ons or deletions can change identification a great deal-

This was job was made easy by the front fender "1919" year tag.

It indeed looks to be a 1919 Harley-Davidson. It could be a Model "J" or a model "F". They are closely related.

The gas-operated headlight on this model was probably a dealership add on because the motorcycle does not appear to have an electrical system. If it did have an electrical system- it would be a model "JA" or "JB"

At any rate- it's a 61 cubic inch V-Twin engine. (The best that I remember- that would be about a 1,000 cc.)

It's probably a 3-speed transmission with a foot clutch and a tank gear shift.

The total production numbers for 1919 is showing:  24,292.

This website helped a lot on this one.  techsweb.us/hdvin1019.html
(scroll down to the 1919 year and options.)

It seems to be very well restored, but i'm not specialist.
I've seen on your gallery that you have a huge collection of these beauties...
Can you identify the model ?

I'm not an expert on Bikes, but my friend Randy has the Harley Group here on DA. Here is a link to his user page on DA, he would be happy to tell you anything you'd like to know about this bike.

It was a job made pretty easy- by the year on the front fender.

That narrows it down a lot.

Yeah, I thought that would help, lol. But I thought he'd want more info than that, and it was a great shot and he had some other cool shots too, so I thought you might want them for the group.
