Story by
“Wall guard duty, bandit patrol or heck even standing at the inner castle gate all day and not moving would of been better” grumbled Owl, “and would have been something normal!”, but the last thing he had expected was his first assignment to be part of an envoy for a diplomatic mission to the volcanic coastlines of the fire giants’ territory. Given that it wasn’t all that exciting as it sounded, because it wasn’t for some political marriage, border line territory dispute or even a war criminal extradition, no this was actually your typical mole hill made into a mountain from a mining rights claim argument between the fire giants and the Farfalin expeditionary guild.
Joining Owl and leading the small party was a paladin that had recently offered his services to the Farfalin kingdom known only as Coragenan. Also in accompaniment was a wandering mystic monk by the name of Urg’bina who volunteered to join in as added escort protection which was a bit off putting at first being that she was a nearly eight and a half feet tall ogress with two heads. “It’s all right everyone I’ve worked with her befrore” said Coragenan vouching for her “Not only is she a trustworthy and stout fighter in hand to hand combat, but Urg’bina also possesses mystical healing skills that could aide in case anything unfortunate were to occur” he added. Aside from Owl, Coragenan, and Urg’bina the party was comprised of only one royal dignitary that was a schooled notary and lawyer named Delvana and a pair of representatives from the expeditionary guild named Panna and Doris all of whom were Farfalin like Owl making Coragenan the only human on this journey aside from Urg’bina the ogress.
Bidding a passing farewell to the guardian titan Alessia our party began their journey and before the sun was near setting on the first day, Owl and company were well on their way to the fire giant lands. A small carriage was provided to transport the dignitaries while Coragenan rode along side and Owl drove it. Urg’bina was too large for either so she walked, but easily kept pace with her height and stride. With a shining knight and ogress there, no bandit dared to attack them for all 10 days it would take to travel to the coast line. On the other hand there was a rampaging dire beast that charged at them on the ninth day that nearly made young Owl jump right out of his boots. More than likely it was spooked when it saw a shiny object in his path from Coragenan’s armor and attacked on instinct, but Urg’bina made short work of the beast and felled it with a single spinning kick to knock it off balance and then suplexed it into a rock alongside the road providing the party with a special beastly meal that evening. “I must say I’m rather enjoying the ratio on this trip” Coragenan mentioned to Owl. “2 guys and 4 ladies traveling together can be a load of fun.” Owl never really paid attention to his other travelling companions until the paladin brought it to his attention in that manner. Urg’bina was tall enough with black hair, green eyes and mysterious blue tattoos on her large body, but she was also very muscular, curvy, and agile looking for an ogre that he heard were usually very plump and slow. The dignitaries we’re fairly attractive as well having varying nice curves and the hair combination mothers warn their sons about; blonde curly hair on Delvana that she wore loose, brunette short hair on Panna that seemed so fair that the slightest breeze would move it, and red headed Doris that wore her hair in a tight single braid that went down to her knees.
“See something you like?” Urg’bina said as she pointed out Owl was staring at her and mainly the other ladies who had removed several layers of their travel cloths as the weather quickly turned warmer as they got closer to the fire giant lands causing him to cover his blushing embarrassed face. “Why don’t we stop here for the night’ Coragenan suggested as he chuckled at the young Owl’s reaction, “There’s a creek near by this road you ladies could take a dip in to cool off and wash away the days dust” he added. Hesitant at first the three Farfalin women were unsure if they could trust Owl and Coragenan not to peep on them, but with Urg’bina there alongside to watch guard they felt at ease and rushed off to the water side. Owl fidgeted a little at the thought of not only 3 pretty Farfalin ladies going for a moonlit dip, but the large Amazonian Urg’bina stripping down naked had him blushing even harder now. Coragenan however seemed at total ease and stirred the embers of the fire pit before settling down beside his saddle bags and taking out a peculiar couple of devices that looked like they could have come from the technological smiths of Aldia. One was a clockwork looking figure shaped like a small person and sprang to life once Coragenan set it on the ground, but immediately turned invisible as Owl saw the little impressions in the dirt its tiny feet made as it ran off. The other item looked like a pair of spectacles with small dials on either side, but the lenses looked so clouded that no one could possible see anything out of them. Owl was more than a little curious as to what the paladin was up too.
Coragenan waved at Owl “Come over here and have a seat” he said “Something you might like to know about me is that aside from being a holy empowered warrior trained to use the light to combat evil and heal the injured” he continued “I’m also an accomplished tech engineer and enjoy making a very wide variety of gadgets and the like. For instance the little device that had scurried off in a rush was a kind of clockwork spy golem that can turn invisible so it can secretly record or relay what it sees to a monitoring device such as the weird looking spectacles I’m holding.” Coragenan waved the spectacles in his hand for a moment and Owl put two and two together and gasped at the paladin’s intent as he took out an additional smaller set of goggles he attached to his spectacles with a small cable and handed them to Owl. Soon enough the two knights shared a bonding moment as the little golem had snuck up on Urg’bina Delvana, Panna and Doris as they relaxed in the shallow creek water completely stripped bare of their clothing. Owl’s face nearly contorted as he went through several expressions of amazement and wonder at the spectacle of so much wet curvy flesh on display before his eyes. Coragenan started to say “It’s the little things in life you need to enjoy lest you forget what you fight foooooooooor . . “ or some such words of wisdom as both he and Owl became addle brained and cocked their heads when Urg’bina showed off her flexibility to her fellow female friends by doing a standing split and giving the two men a view that left their jaws completely agape.
Unfortunately their fun time ended all too soon as Urg’bina thought she heard something move in the bushes and accidentally stepped on the miniature golem as she investigated, but luckily she couldn’t tell what it was she had crushed in the dark of night and hurried the other girls back to camp. Owl looked poleaxed when they returned; “he’s just a little nervous since we’re less than a day out from reaching our destination” Coragenan explained. Indeed that was one of the longest days Owl had ever experienced as his mind kept trailing back to the previous night and all the glistening wonder he beheld which peaked Urg’bina’s notice when he kept nearly driving the carriage off the road several times, but Coragenan remitted and reminded her that this was young Owl’s very first adventure detail saying, “We were all once new to the hazards of traveling and seeing new things on the rugged roads, rolling hills, and deep valleys.” Owl almost fell out of his seat as he caught himself before laughing at the innuendo the paladin had hinted at. “You two are being weird,” Urg’bina said as she just shook her heads and continued on ahead of the group thinking that the men in this group were hiding something, but Coragenan shared a knowing eyebrow raised glance at Owl and both nodded in silent agreement that they would both take this secret to their graves.
Upon arrival at the mining site on the outskirts of the fire giant lands coastal region, the party was greeted by emissaries of the fire giant’s kingdom. Among the menagerie of various races that worked at the behest of the fire giants, three actual giants approached Owl and the others. One was a similar weights and measures lawyer as Delvana by the name of Doulp who brought out several documents to begin negotiations over a mine that ran so deep and curled around on itself that it passed back and forth between the fire giant territory and the lands under current claim of the Farfalin expeditionary guild. Accompanying Doulp was the youngest brother of the fire giant king and Lieutenant General of the royal guard Rodell and his daughter, the lieutenant commander of the fire giant army Zharga. Atop a make shift table that the giants took a seat at which was more like a large stage for the Farfalin representatives the six dignitaries began their delegations on who would get rights to the newly discovered mine.
Back and forth the arguments went, on one side Doris and Panna would show their guild’s findings that all of the precious minerals were found only on the sides of the mine that went outside of the fire giant territory and into theirs while Rodell counter argued that they had to pass back through fire giant lands to retrieve them. Doulp and Delvana had their own negotiations as they kept proposing a transportation tax to the Lt. General that would benefit both sides, but he stubbornly refused to bend. While all this debating was going on Owl was getting horribly bored at just standing by with Coragenan, but Owl noticed that his companions attention wasn’t on the delegating and instead on Zharga who also kept glancing over at Coragenan. She would quickly look away though when she met the paladins gaze and act like nothing happened, but Owl notice something when he looked at the lady giant, she was blushing. What on earth could cause a veritable mini titaness like her to get flustered about when she looked at Coragenan he wondered.
At that moment the giant table they stood on shook as Rodell slammed his fist down and shouted, “Tell me why we shouldn’t just take the mine for ourselves!” as he accused the Farfalin’s of hiding something inside the mines lower depths and that they couldn’t trust someone that kept secrets. Owl began to sweat hoping that this peace meet wasn’t turning into a very short war where he would meet his end at the underside of a fire giant’s armored boot, but feeling a hand on his shoulder and a calmness wash over him, Coragenan stepped forward and towards the delegates. He opened by saying, ”Actually there is already a pact of trust between me and the fire giants and as a current representative under the Farfalin Kingdom I could lay your worries and accusations to rest.” Everyone in Owl’s party froze in fear that Coragenan may have just jeopardized the entire peace talk, but nodded slightly at Doulp and Delvana like they should be ready for something on his signal.
Approaching closer to Rodell and Zharga, Coragenan began speaking of an event that happened several months back, “I’m sure you all remember when a rogue ice drake had wandered down into your territory from the frozen reaches of the far south and posed a severe threat to all the fire giants. Being an ice drake meant it would have been a near guaranteed death should he come across any of you who would of fallen victim to your weakness to cold attacks, but that didn’t stop the young Zharga howerver” as Coragenan turned toward her and spoke of her reckless setting out to protect her people from an icy end. Zharga admitted to her foolishness and said, “I was rash and underestimated my adversary and was nearly clawed, bitten and frost breathed to death by the drake until I saw the glint of something blazing like the sun out of the corner of my eye as a hammer that looked like it was made out of pure light fly past me and smash into the ice drake. With the drake dazed an armored man rushed into the fray” she continued “and began hacking down the icy beast with his greatsword and made short work of it. I was clinging to life by a thread and through blurred vision I saw the gleaming white knight turn his attentions to me and awaited my end. In my in current condition I would of been an easy kill for any adventurer looking to claim that they had killed a fire giant, but instead I felt an energizing warmth wash over my body. All my wounds closed and the pain and fatigue from fighting the ice drake disappeared as I looked down too see a black haired man channeling healing magic into my body.” Unfortunately it was far more than I should have” Coragenan interjected, “because I collapsed at her feet. Now the tables had turned and her savior was now at her mercy. However having just spared her life and helping instead of just leaving her there too die, Zharga owed me a life debt.”
Rodell knew of this story and that the unknown at the time holy knight didn’t even ask for a twice over reward that he was owed and simply left in the night leaving Zharga to wonder who it was that had come to her rescue. She needed no convincing as Coragenan stood so close to them and recounted the tale. It was he who had saved Zharga’s life and two fold in one encounter. However Coragenan had a correction to tell of the story to the Lt. General saying, “I actually did receive one grand reward for my deeds in the form of a night of passionate love making with your daughter.” Zharga brought her hands up to her face as she started to giggle like a little girl and blushed brightly while her father stood there slack jawed and in shock. Upon seeing Rodell paralyzed with the revelation, Coragenan signaled Owl to bring his viewing spectacles to Doulp and Delvana that he had secretly slipped him when he first approached the fire giant General.
The spectacles folded over on themselves into a small projection device as Owl got closer to the delegates and started playing a recording of the night Zharga and Coragenan spent together. Not the carnal first part thankfully, but the finale where as he was leaving Zharga imparted a life debt vow to Coragenan that should he ever need a royal favor that she would help in any way she could. That was all Doulp needed to hear as he stamped the agreement papers with his seal and brought them to the General to add his own. Still in a dazed state of mind, Rodell pressed his signet ring into the documents without thinking and sealed the treaty agreement thus ending the dispute and allowing both sides to coexist peacefully. When Rodell snapped back to his senses he realized what he had done, but wouldn’t admit to being fooled and instead huffed off as if he intentionally agreed to the terms of a simple transportation and protection fee as the expeditionary guild were granted full rights to the mine so long as they alerted the fire giant officials if any or the veins started showing up on their lands.
Unfortunately no one had stopped the message being played by the device Owl was holding, because as it ended while papers were being placed in containers and sealed by all of the attending delegates it had restarted to the beginning of the original recording and began playing back the start of Coragenan’s night with Zharga. Everyone stood in shock as the vivid display of sound and images recounted the night of sexual escapades between the paladin and fire giantess. “Ho-how do I stop it?!” said Owl as he was shaking both in fear out of not knowing what to do and a fair amount of awe as he witnessed the acts of wanton lust between his party’s leader and the now doubled over in embarrassment Zharga. Doulp turned away shaking his head in disbelief as did Urg’bina’s right head while her left head grinned wickedly and shot a thumbs up in Coragenan’s direction. Doris, Panna, and Delvana’s face turned beat red seeing a side of the paladin they never imaged they’d get the chance too and breathed a slight sigh of disappointment when he stepped over to Owl as he retrieved his device and turned it off. “I think that’s enough don’t you” Coragenan said to Owl as he strutted off like nothing wrong happened.
Signaling to the rest of the party that their missions was a complete success, Coragenan insisted they be on their way back to Farfalin before the fire giant General came fully to his senses and try to change his mind. More so everyone similarly thought to avoid any retribution for sullying his daughter as they almost in unison looked at the paladin with mixed reactions or praise, scorn, disbelief and a little enticement. Owl received an approving commendation from Coragenan for playing a pivotal role in solving the dispute while in hindsight he commented, “Probably should have told you how to turn the thing off before replaying the naughty parts’, but as they loaded up for the return home, Coragenan also said, “Go and keep it as study guide.” Owl was bewildered to say the least, not knowing what the paladin was referring too until Coragenan turned back to him and stated his observations of how the titaness Aliessa looked at young Owl when they first departed and started too lecture how love in all its forms can be thoroughly enjoyed despite size. Whether you’re large or small he stated as Coragenan peered at first for a moment at Urg’bina’s direction and then turned his gaze to the Farfalin ladies and winked as he emphasized on the small when he looked at them which caused them to react with giggles and blushes.
Owl would not soon forget his first adventure or the particularly unique companions he traveled with. Most assuredly next time it came too volunteering for assignments he would try to avoid any more missions with that particular paladin or at least until his reputation is restored from being a wanton lech, because Owl soon discovered that there were several hundred recordings in the device Coragenan left him with including the night they peeped on their party companions which unfortunately had played when he was fidgeting with it during a joint meeting between the adventurers and expeditionary guilds while Doris, Panna and Delvana were attending. Live, learn, and blame that dang pervadin!!
