I NO LONGER POST DRAWINGS ON THIS ACCOUNT; check out meerkat--maniac

One of my all-time favorite art projects and also a huge growing leap for me. I am just oh my gosh so happy with this. AND IS MY FIRST "SILENT HILL" FANART, FUUUUUUUCK YEEEEEES.

We were assigned to choose two pictures- which had to somehow be related- and do a process called weaving. You basically print two references, pick the proportions, cut each picture equally, and weave them together in whatever pattern desired. You grid the drawing paper in the same design. I have always wanted to make my own version of the most beautiful Pyramid Head fanart (the most iconic character of the "Silent Hill" series, in his film counterpart) I have ever seen, a later-linked piece by the extremely talented Matt Buck, and so this was my chance. c: So, I chose that and the Halo of the Sun, the most important motif symbol in the series. AND THAT FUCKER WAS HARD TO DRAW. I NEVER THOUGHT A CIRCLE WITH ANCIENT MARKINGS WOULD BE THAT DAMN DIFFICULT. We didn't have a drawing compass that big either, so I was on my own. ;~; But hey, I think I did all right. I say the halo looks pretty proportional… although I DID accidentally draw it upside-down, gg me.

But, Pyramid Head was my favorite part of this to draw. It was a blast. Partially because I wanted to lick the paper because I'm one of those unwell people that wanna get rammed by the incarnation of guilt and desire for punishment, but yes, other reasons too. :T It was also a marvelous practice for me! Muscles are in nooo way my forte, so doing this was a massive improvement as I truly had to analyze Buck's piece to see muscle flow.

In the end, I am honestly so proud of this. I put so, so much effort into it, and I think it came out really well! I hope you guys love this as much as I do, and critiques are always deeply cherished!

Oh, and please excuse the blur towards the bottom-right; for art class my actual signature is there, but I'm not having that on dA.
