Never thought I'd see turtle guts until today... A turtle's shell keeps it safe from many predators, but it stands no chance against a car's might. Turtles have a number of important roles in supporting the ecosystem, including dispersing seeds in their feces, and are ancient reptiles that deserve humanity's respect.When seeing a turtle crossing the road, if possible, pull over and carry the turtle over to the side it was headed to. This will prevent the animal from trying again.
Never put your own life at risk in order to save an animal on the road, but nevertheless put effort into protecting them from harm if able!

Sadly... A good percentage of humanity just doesn't seem to see the real worth of animals. Roadkill is inevitable to a degree, but if people as a whole cared, I'm certain there'd be far less.
