I am at a point where I really appreciate the possibilities of nowadays working digitally...
...especially the little perfectionistic nerd in me is happy: after "finishing" something I always find things, that I would like to have done in another way. Of course, this is just usual and everybody knows it....and in some cases it is healthy to be able to let go and let finished things be finished....but sometimes it´s about really big changes or about details wich are really annoying and obvious.
In such cases it is a blessing to be able to do changes exactly on those layers, where I want them to be done without the need of redrawing a whole piece.

I really love the first version of "Roots"....not "despite" but rather "because" of it´s very intuitive work-process in wich it seemed to flow out of me....so it was good and right to upload the first version.
But every time I looked at it, I was really annoyed with the silly "framework" I did in the first session. The fact, that I didn´t draw the leaves by myself and that the way the letters ended in the lower part of the image didn´t create a feeling of a "closed" form were things that I was sure to change, if I once got the nerve to go at it and redraw all the needed stuff.

I like the fact, that I got better in using my hardware and software and so I could enjoy the process of seeing this image grow to something new....happy with the outcome
