Alexander Cole's red & gold doublet in its final form.10/2011 Update: If you're wondering why you don't recognize this image it's because it has been updated to reflect the finished doublet.
The doublet is approx. 90% hand sewn, and clocks in at around 115 hours of labor. Full costume with not-shown double-sided cape, canions, hose, slops, and hat clocks between 450-500 hours.

Yes. Knowing ~Hexatroll I will be embroidering the ruff as well. (Unless he decided my handwork sucks and does it himself.) There will be blackwork on the collar of the shirt and sleeves. We were looking at pomegranate imagery originally ... and we may actually end up doing scarletwork and blackwork. Y'know, mix it up a bit ...
