For a full costume it can range from $3,000.00-$5,000.00+ USD depending on the time it takes to complete the pieces and the cost of materials. This costume took roughly 500 hours (since it is mostly hand sewn) and if looked at in a strictly pay by the hour sense would cost $5,000.00 (at $10.00/hour).
I just want to note that costumes don't need to be sewn by hand, but the technique was used to hide a lot of the stitching since it was such a complicated piece. The doublet, slops and cape all have lining that is hand sewn and then pressed so it has that beautiful tailored effect you'll find in modern suit lining. The beading was done by hand, the alternating fabric panels in the slops were sewn in by hand as well as the stripes on the doublet. Since it was a personal piece Alex could be as meticulous with the reproduction as he wanted.

i'm sure you totally deserve this money, because frist of al it's your art, and then you spend 500 hours on it as you say, it's really big thing. if i become some famous photographer, i would like to work with people like you.
