I want to rest but it does not matter... even though I wait here forever.. life goes on.. slowly entangled and trapped in its grip.. too tired to stop its endless consuming that reveals my rotten decay.

I feel my neck tighten up when I look at this, like I'm unable to speak what I really want to say.. and all my energy seeps away into the earth... The decayed side of her face seems scary on the surface but behind it I feel so much terror, sadness, and pain.. and that feeling melts into the branches rooted deeply in her body. I feel afraid to even move around her because even the little wind I make on them may feel like seething hot irons digging into her body. It makes me cry because I don't know what to do for her.. besides play a quiet gentle lullaby.. but I'm getting a little lost in my imagination now...

Ugh, I've been feeling this lately myself... Sluggish enough to just let the moss grow on my back and birds nest in the branches that grow up out of it... Heh, like those folk tales about the turtle carrying the world on his back. I guess everyone's got their own world to carry around with them. A protective shell coated with all the things we've accumulated over the years. Indeed, it is coated with dirt, but once in a while, a gorgeous flower will grow out of it all~

And heh, maybe this is an odd thing to bring up, but I still remember that one night when you asked me to sing to you to help you fall asleep. It was a little thing, but I still treasure that little moment so much... I know it's not quite the same as actually being there, but I hope Mama Bear's fur is soft and warm enough for you to nestle into and get all the rest you deserve. Heh, perhaps the both of us could do with some hibernation this winter.

all your art is so deep and full of meaning... really love how her hair transforms into lichen; fits the mood. also how she tilts her head like she's simply too tired to hold it up. it conveys the feeling of bonedeep, dragging exhaustion really well!

The endless dragging on gets to you though. I wonder how much it's a joke. The piece is unnerving. Nothing about it seems to convey a feeling of rightness. Very unique.
