Jack seems to have lost all hope on improving his life. the beer wont help, the powerful arms wont help him. the look in his eyes makes me sad and I wish he could see more possibilities in this hard environment. You point this out very well TK. that surely is a skill. It are all those details that match and give it this expression of strength and weakness in one fine portrait. Fav to me.

Of such characters I saw here much. A guys, who working on railway or in steelworks, forwarders, road-makers, chauffeurs and etc. You're right, he have more brawn than brains, is drunkard and often is subject to his emotion, wife for this she left him, therefore he sit and wait for beer here. Yet is this too symbol of life, bad too good together, still in rough, dynamic how an element, always in motion. I think, that it's good theme for expressionism. Thank you, Sara, for incomparable empathy again.

Thank you, dear friend. I've done little sculpture from ceramics, from fish-pond, I tried to hew too to woods and stone, but I've never hadn't suitable workroom. Certainly I would made too sculpture, if I had one space at it and opportunity. I liked would me mainly combine sculpture with a colour, with by various structure and materials. Maybe I try in garden make of some sculpture from wood.

I wonder, have you ever made sculpture? Many of your drawings and paintings have a very sculptural feel. I was just enjoying looking at your painting Autumn Landscape, and the painting looked as though you carved the shapes on the canvas. Very Strong!
