Description
A pair of realistic miniature 1:12 scale white rabbits. Sculpted by hand from polymer clay and delicate wire armature in legs, neck and tails. Their eyes are glass, and the white, fluffy coats have been applied in layers using brushed alpaca fiber, powder-fine flock and glue. These 'widdle wabbits' sold to a collector in 2011.Related content

I developed my own techniques on applying natural fiber and flock to my polymer clay sculptures since mid 1990s. I also cut my own powder-fine flock from the fibers I am using for each animal.

Ha, that would explain why this is the best flocking I've ever seen. Is it a permanent adhesive, or something that comes apart in water? I had a few beautiful flocked treasures years back, but their fur melted off when a little bit of water dripped on them. Is that just an inherent risk with flocked art?

For my sculptures, which are 1:12 scale collectibles, I use a craft glue to apply the fiber lengths and flock. Yes, this glue will soften if exposed to soaking in warm water, and is not recommended

Ahh, gotcha. I will remember to keep them far from water fixtures and whatnot if I get one, then. I've had mini waterfalls that tend to splash. xD

love the rabbits have you ever thought of/ or made ferret figures like this before as i know quite a lot of ferret people who would buy something like this if they could find it in ferret

i know a lot of people at ferret shows who have seen your work on deviant art as ive been looking and have said they would pay for a ferret statue from you in that scale if they knew what it would look like first
