Description
And since I've taken it upon myself to spam all of you with all my might...Here is the cover art for the second book in Kristen Britain's "Green Rider" series, "First Rider's Call." As so many of you have noticed, this edition will not be available in the states, as it is published by Orion Publishing Group/Gollancz in London. For those of you who are unable to see these on the shelves and are curious as to what the covers look like, you can see them on Amazon: [link] The reason for the composition as shown here is due to the fact that they were intended to wrap around to the back cover.
This one is possibly my most favorite of the four illustrations, and I had a blast drawing it, despite the raging tendinitis that took out most of my right arm at that time. I'm pretty sure excessive crosshatching CAUSED the tendinitis.
Before I forget, a huge thank you to the people at Orion Publishing for letting me in on this awesome opportunity, and for all of you who somehow recognized my work on these covers. I'm very flattered!
(Look, see how I can professionally get away with not having a background in my work. Also, all of these feature winged horses on the cover. Deal with it. )
Pencils on vellum bristol. An uncounted number of hours, (aka a month straight,) so no need to ask.

This is so beautiful!! I've been looking through each piece in your gallery and liking a lot of them, but this series of pegasus illustrations in particular made me drop my jaw and say "WOW." Stunning detail and shading, and the composition of this one specifically is very powerful. I looked at the completed image on the amazon link too - if I saw that cover in a book store I would pick it up SO fast. Sign of a job well done

This looks amazing! Naturally in the states we got a different cover, it would be neat to see these beautiful illustrations on the books in person <3 I really enjoyed this series, it must have been a great experience to draw the cover art ^^

I'm in Edinburgh for my Summer Holidays, and stopped by at Waterstones to look at books. And while wandering around I suddenly looked up and saw this book series with your artwork on the cover! I was like "wow, there's pallanoph!"
The books looked just brilliant, and I love how your beautiful pencil lines works together with the old-fashioned wallpaper textures! Also, it is wonderful to see deviants I know of succeed out there

Nope, it should be available throughout the UK, as well as Australia. Not sure if this applies to Europe, though. Huh. *thinks* You should be able to find it, I've heard frequent reports of people finding it in Waterstones. So it's out there.
