Description
It was a huge undertaking.
Not necessarily far, but the idea of a meeting of all the pack leaders in the area seemed… Suspicious. She couldn’t help but think that maybe this was somehow a trick, or perhaps some awful war tactic. Get them all in one place and then strike. Would be a terribly easy thing to do, especially for what seemed like endless numbers of those beasts. They’d be little more than rabbits to them.
Tailing them to the border through the rugged mountainous terrain, Faolan’s eyes lingered on the gangly female in front of her. It was a strange thing, suddenly realizing that this wolf she’d been so irritated with for months was now one of her biggest sources of solace.
She had friends - she’d been proven that over the course of the last two moons. After what had happened, it seemed like those she was closest to were eager to remind her that she was wanted and needed here in Mhor, despite the actions of a few. Her blue gaze drifted over to the silver and black retreating form with a frown, ripping it away just as fast.
Maybe it was the strange predicament they found themselves, having forged some peculiar bond around their shared trauma and needs, but while she had other strong friendships, there was a particular comfort she took in Rowena now. Like it or not, they leaned on each other. And maybe that wasn’t so bad.
Regardless of the reason, when Reiwen stopped them at the border for a brief moment, Faolan padded up to her companion, Rowena turning around to face her.
Their words were fairly concise - meaningless, maybe - but as they crossed over the boundary of Mhor territory, she could only watch them go, ears tipped back.
What if something happened? That was their leader (and her sister, but that wasn’t in the forefront of her mind) and it wasn’t like they had a backup plan if this went south. Who knew what the others packs intentions were?
The storm in her heart continued, and she sat down in the snow, stopping to think for hours after the three had disappeared from view.
For what felt like the millionth time in the last few seasons, Faolan could only think; Was this the right decision?
Whipped this up as a WIP in what felt like a fever dream and less than 48 hours later it is completely finished!
Part of me wanted to get this done before the big leader RP came out, but I can thank chronic insomnia and raging ADHD for spitting it out so quickly.
ANYWAY ENJOY FAOLAN BEING WORRIED FOR/MISSING HER FRIEND.
No feelings are stirring at this point, but she's not going to pretend she doesn't genuinely care about Rowena now.
Rowena's dialogue was written out by badge for this so she was completely in character
Rowena belongs to iBadge
Faolan is mine
