I've just started to get into polymer clay and your tutorials are by far one of the best I've seen. And I really love how you're a full advocate of using household items to help instead of buying expensive things

cutting that concave out of it so the cone could roll up properly was really clever! o:

hahah very cute!
I say hi back to the matchstick
You know what i found is good to do? Well, I made a mold simply by doing a horizontal and vertical line across a circle piece of clay. I baked it so every time i want a ice cream texture I can do that When I did the lines on the clay, I used the back of a razor blade where its not sharp and a little fatter than the front
Plus, I didnt cut off part of the circle when I rolled the clay up to make the cone, I jsut rolled it It still looks normal
You can make a mold out of the match part so you dont have to do it over and over again! You dont need resin tho, just bake that like normal - not rolled up - and then press it into another piece of clay and bake that, so you can just press it into clay the enxt time instead of wasting 30 min
Just a suggestion

I really like the tip of putting a base in the ice cream cone for structure, tho My icecream cone ends of flimsy at times :S
You know what I do sometimes with these kinds of cones? I just fill in some white liquid sculpey (but a little chunky) and stick my caned fruits, (candy?) sticks - you know the ones that are like rolled in two colors and just like stand there, and rhinestones I think your tutorial shows how to make it more of a ice cream so ill try it

Love it! Thank you.
Never thought of using a matchstick for this. I kept making reversed textures to use them as stamps .
I'm definitely going to try this soon!
