I really do agree, like when i am play fighting with my cousin he will hit me playfully and gently and then a female came up and said "you aren't suppose to hit woman" and i was like "okay listen, that is the most stupidest thing i heard. Woman should not have more respect then men, and men should not have more respect then women. We all should have equal respect." Like really. Really and yes it is true female call other "sexiest more"

Anyways i hold the door open for either sex, i help out either sex, who give a damn what gender you are? Appearance doesn't matter it's the heart that does.Β

Feminists are infamous for pointing at things and going "that's sexist" when to the rest of us it looks like they're reading a lot into it or really sensitive about how easily people are judged for being male, female, or anything. So isn't it sexist to be trying to respect women more, as though they need special treatment? Or maybe some feminists think that's okay as long as they can cherry pick whatever they want.

Everyone deserves a little bit of respect, no matter their age, gender, race or whatever.

For example to be leftΒ in peaceΒ and be taken seriously. It's just a basic level of respect which every human deserves, as long as they aren't assholes and throw this right away with their behaviour.

Β

Sadly, my expieriences are that I mostly get LESS respect because I'm female. Guys think they're better than women and they don't have to be polite, think I'm stupid, need their help, etc. That's annoying. But I probably justΒ meet a lot of sexist assholes :TΒ

E-Ocasio In reply to Zelendur [2014-01-09 19:28:56 +0000 UTC]

It's been the opposite in my life. I've worked in offices and a hospital where the environment was female dominate and the women verbally abused us men workers and made fun of us.

Recently the doctor that visits my aunt, I am her legal caregiver, also insulted me twice and threw papers at my face because I asked her to write a prescription refill. I simply remained quiet and filled a written complaint with the medical insurance company, and my aunt now has a new more competent and professional doctor.

I've dealt with many witches out there that think because they have a vagina they're better than men.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Zelendur In reply to E-Ocasio [2014-01-10 06:20:36 +0000 UTC]

Wow what the heck.

First of all I think that doctor was unprofessional as hell, I mean why would you throw papers at your "Customer"? You did well writing your complaint, I hope she had to take allΒ consequences out of her behaviour she deserved.

Sadly, it's pretty much true that many women are just as sexist, and sexist women are someway way more accepted. Laughing about men, saying they're the better sex, etc., is almost standard and nobody bats an eye. Even worse when they're more than one. Twisted feminists I say.

I personally think feminism should fighting for making men and women equal. Same jobs, same money, but also the same social rules etc. It's not okay for a man to treat a woman badly, it's also bad if a woman insults, hits or doeas whatever else to a man. We're all human and should be treated like exactly that, and not make any differences just because of a few anatomical differences like a vagina or breasts. (Even though I must admit, I LIKE to be treated like a lady - but I don't go mad if men don't do so, as long as they're friendly, it's fine |3)

To be honest, I'm a little scared of those kind of women as well.. I tell you, it's not easier when you're female as well, they laugh and tattle about you as well about the most random shit, I guess it's not about being female, those witches are just complete asshole humans. Same with men. Some treat you well and respectful, and some are sexist assholes. I probably just had bad luck to meet a lot of those men, as well as you had a lot of bad luck.

Many white collar workplaces here in Puerto Rico are female dominated, especially the ones in the West area where I live. Women get as power drunk as men. Sadly most of the places I've worked have been like that. I did this cartoon so that people don't blame men for everything:Β e-ocasio.deviantart.com/art/Wo…

As for the doctor this was my second incident with her, so I was not going to wait for a third one to occur. My aunt never liked her too much and after the second incident she said she did not want her in her house anymore.

From what I've gathered the people, regardless of gender, that act so negatively to others are lacking in education, had a poor upbringing and blame other for everything that goes wrong in their lives.

Should I encounter another woman in the workplace that wants to step allover me again she'll face legal consequences to her actions.

respect isn't 'earned', respect is supposed to be a primary right of every human being. you're confusing 'respect' with 'admiration'.

and women just happen to get a lot less respect than men that's why people like making points about it, not because they think women are special.

I see where this stamp is coming from, but this doesn't give women the right to blow up at a man for opening a door for her. I've seen it happen before, and it sickened me. In the end, it all comes down to manners. In a situation like I mentioned above, really, who lacking the manners in that scenario? It's sad now that when respect comes to play, many tend to see it as a display of sexism, when In the past, I know that's what the act alluded to, but really, it's the future now.Β

In a society where so many lack manners, i'm thankful when someone opens the door for me, man or woman. I find this stamp a little selfish and rude. No offense to anyone, but when the bottom line is politeness, than this stamp is pointless. Also, besides my example, where are other examples? Β I don't see any in the description, the only one's I see are those from the comments.Β

Gentlemen would open doors for ladies because not only did they respect them for being a lady, they respected them for being a mother, a woman of the house, a helper, a sister, etc., yes, it's respect for being Β a woman, but unlike today, they were actually ladies.Β

Bottom line, it's polite, physically and in general, a man is stronger than a woman, on average. He opens to door for her because perhaps, he thinks it's too much for her to do, yes, it's sexist, but at least he's being polite.Β

Curse you who will yell a man or a boy down for holding the door open, that's just rude.Β

Being a female does not make you better than anyone else, we can be assholes, pricks, stupid, disrespectful and just down right self centered as guys can be. People need to look before they just give us respect, we need to earn it just like everyone else does. Having a vagina is no better than having a penis Actually it's way worse but I won't go there we need to stop acting like it is.

The only reason I'm more cordial to girls is because I have a history of bad relationships with guys outside my group, so I tend to be more defensive around them. It's a natural mechanism formed by years of bullying and it's served me well, so I see no reason to try and get rid of it.

I was RPing in a chatroom once, and most people in said chatroom tend to assume I'm a guy because my character is male. Well, this one girl came in and started breaking the basic laws of time and space, and godmodding, such as by hugging me after I killed her, and then supposedly winking at me when I was miles away in the roleplay. When I called her out on winking at someone miles away, she said, and I shit you not, "So? Be nice to me, I'm a girl".

It created such an uproar, that she ended up being banned.
