My AwakeningI didn't realize this,
But I've hit a certain point in my life,
And I see things I never gave thought to before.
What was once a good thing
Turned out to be something I wish I never had
Being young and naive,
Life is free, simple, uncomplicated.
Then I grew up,
And the life I thought perfect
Eventually fell into pieces.
I noticed sadness
In the eyes of those I love
I noticed hurt
In the voice of those I cherish
I noticed the dark side in everything.
The world around me,
Is different, not like what it used to be.
It's just not the same anymore.
This is my life,
This is my awakening.
