The 'clear tape' picture was an unrelated picture I whipped up as a warm-up. After drawing the whole sequence I had an empty 'panel zero'. So I thought why the heck not, it's the same character and popped it in.
About that mattress, yes, I got the idea from a local horror drama (it was about poltergeists)
