I pushed the idea on ARNie a while ago, and he did some art that inspired b.b. to do his version.... Who knows how far it went from there.
I have heard that some folks HAVE built things along those lines. INSEX built one a long time ago, but it wasn't so form-fitting, since it had to be useable for multiple models.
